Lead Data Management Analyst
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking Lead Data Management Analyst **In this role, you will:** + Organize and lead complex companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes + Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements + Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues + Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality + Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures + Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data + Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members + Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy + Serve as relationship manager for a line of business + Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility + Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies + Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution **Required Qualifications:** + 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + Overall 10+ years of experience in the BFSI sector, specializing in Regulatory/Risk/Financial Data handling , Financial Data Mapping, and Database modelling. **Desired Qualifications:** + Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship + Good experience in working on Banking projects (mandatory) + Writing SQL code for analysis using Oracle and Teradata (mandatory) + Extensive knowledge and understanding/experience of research and analysis. + Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy + Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management. + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Gather requirements from Business systems, and Consumers, articulate clearly in document + Conduct impact analysis of data using SQL tools in Oracle and Teradata and present details to business for review + Liaise with technology teams for development and validation of results. + Identify Data Quality issues in data by provide mapping solution for remediation. + Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment. + Ability to effectively interpret data, stimulate deeper analysis, influence decision making, and create business value. + Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner. + Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members. + Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship. + Ability to manipulate data from non-normalized or disparate data sources. + Clear understanding of DWH principles, Dimensional Data and Data Models/Schemas + Lead Role Experience & Capability to lead Team from the front. + Ownership & Accountability for Delivery **Job Expectations:** + Lead complex enterprise-wide programs and collaborates on strategic initiatives for data governance, data quality and metadata activities. + May act as a relationship manager for a line of business. + May design and deliver database architecture / design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, performing needs assessments, database definition & structure, documentation, long-range requirements, and operational guidelines. **Posting End Date:** 30 Oct 2024 **_*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants._** **We Value Diversity** At Wells Fargo, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace; accordingly, we welcome applications for employment from all qualified candidates, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, individuals with disabilities, pregnancy, marital status, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable law.
