Lead Decision Scientist - Clinical Analytics

By optimizing the design, operations, interventions and outcomes of clinical programs and products, the Clinical Analytics team can help staff on the front lines better serve our members. The Lead Decision Scientist will play an instrumental role in building cross-functional relationships, defining product roadmaps that drive impact, and engaging with our data scientists and engineers to deliver innovative solutions. To be successful in the role, the Lead Decision Scientist will need to excel in stakeholder management, consult with multiple business functions, make data-driven decisions to grow business impact, and deliver analytically-based products into the hands of our stakeholders. **The ideal candidate will:** + Demonstrate solid combination of consulting and analytical skills to successfully lead business segments toward higher performance and measurable outcomes + Demonstrate strong ability to communicate appropriate context on technical concepts and analytical results to non-technical business partners. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure correct implementation and alignment with business requirements. Clearly translate business questions and drivers into analytics frameworks for Data Scientists. + Define, track, and analyze performance metrics that align with financial objectives to measure success of initiatives and products. + Be regarded as a business specialist with deep content knowledge. + Conduct internal and external research and prepare proposals to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology/business solutions. + Anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks before they occur. + Uses appropriate data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results that support business decisions. **Required Qualifications** + 7+ years professional experience in business analytics, analytical consulting, decision/data science or a related field + Professional experience with SQL, relational databases, and data integration + Experience with statistical evaluation methodologies, A/B testing and ROI analysis **Preferred Qualifications** + Healthcare industry or management consulting experience + Strong problem solving and analytical skills + Excellent communication and presentation/PPT skills; proven ability to communicate and consult effectively with internal and external stakeholders + Experience in collecting business requirements and translating them into functional requirements for data analytics solutions + Experience using Python or R for analytical purposes + Moderate understanding of data science and machine learning techniques **Education** + Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Actuarial Science or related discipline + Master's degree, MBA or PhD preferred **Pay Range** The typical pay range for this role is: $142,140.00 - $284,280.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
