Lead Delivery Manager (Digital Engineering Solutions)
**40088BR** **Requisition ID:** 40088BR **Business Unit:** COR **Job Description:** CDM Smith is seeking a Lead Delivery Manager to join our Digital Engineering Solutions team. This individual will be part of the Development group within the Digital Engineering Solutions team, helping design and implementation of cloud-based solutions facilitating CI/CD pipeline, and ensuring that software development and operations teams work collaboratively. An ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, proactive, and a highly interested in the application of new technologies and methods. This individual must showcase exceptional abilities in implementing solutions for AEC initiatives that involve cutting-edge technologies. As a member of the Digital Engineering Solutions team, the Development group will be engaged in research and development and provide guidance and oversight to the AEC practices at CDM Smith, engaging in new product research, and the incubation of innovative ideas that arise from around the company. The ideal candidate should possess an extensive background in application development, that includes security, scaling, integration, and application migration, along with a commitment to continuous advancement and interest that drives measurable results. The following are the Key responsibilities for this position • Accountable for project completion, working independently in a collaborative environment. • Work on multiple assignments simultaneously. • Create comprehensive project plans, establish milestones and timelines, and oversee the project's scope to ensure smooth delivery. • Identify potential risks throughout the project lifecycle, implement mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues. • Monitor project quality throughout the delivery process to ensure that established standards and criteria are met. • Monitor the project budget, recognizing cost variations and taking necessary steps to keep within budgetary restrictions. • Review project measurements and KPIs on frequently to find places where things could be improved and make the necessary changes. • Ensure clear communication with leadership, clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to keep all parties updated on the project's progress and to resolve problems that may come up. • Identify and handle project roadblocks, escalating issues when necessary, and finding solutions to keep projects on track. • Delegate responsibilities to team members according to their expertise and current availability, enhancing workload productivity. • Motivate and direct the project team, promoting collaboration and resolving conflicts to ensure optimal performance. • Stay current with emerging technologies to meet industry demands.   Skills and Abilities: • Take ownership of the project and work independently in a team environment. • Strong project management skills including the ability to delegate tasks and providing assistance and direction to a team of professionals. • Able to work on multiple initiatives concurrently. • Leadership skills for team management and motivation. • Competent in coordinating with team members and notifying them about their roles, ensuring that deadlines and standards are reached by directing the orchestration of project tasks. • Proficient at leading workshops, drafting meeting notes, and sharing them with the project team to ensure that everyone is on the same page. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation and verbal communication ability for organizing team meetings and project kickoff calls. • Ability to strategically communicate information and expectations, listen attentively to all parties, and facilitate open conversation is vital. • Strong strategic thinkers with the ability to develop effective and efficient strategies for resource allocation, job assignment, and project execution. • Competent in handling a variety of challenges in the positions and need to be ready to identify potential risks, develop contingency plans. • Ability to handle issues among team members and project teams and reach conclusions. • Effectively managing deadlines and prioritizing tasks. • Competent in producing the estimate vs. real KPI boards to ensure that the project follows to the timeline and budget. • Proficient at using project management software such as Microsoft Project or equivalent to put together the project and development schedule. • Expertise in the technical components of the product or service being provided. • Good knowledge of the Agile/Waterfall approach and how Quality Assurance fits into it. • Good knowledge of the DevSecOps methodology and communicating with the project team. • Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within an organization. • Capable of effectively coordinating with program leads, project team members, business analysts, scrum masters, and tech leaders to deliver both technical and non-technical updates on project progress. • Willing to enhance skills with cutting edge technology and tools to stay competitive in the industry. **Job Title:** Lead Delivery Manager (Digital Engineering Solutions) **Group:** COR **Employment Type:** Regular **Minimum Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree. 8 years of relevant experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
