Lead Designer, Footwear Product Design
Lead Designer, Footwear Product Design - NIKE, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Produce innovative footwear designs, and create a line from concept to reality; collaborate closely with Design and Category Management teams to develop innovative product designs that resonate with target consumers, enhancing Nike's design identity and product performance; oversee the meticulous execution of product details, covering construction, color, form, style, detail, fit, performance, and cost/value requirements; generate and present materials effectively communicating category consumers, product concepts, and creative strategy to internal and external audiences; actively seek expert input to craft designs mindful of cost/value, fit and performance, manufacturability, sustainability, merchandising, and aesthetic finish; create new practices, processes, and design applications to elevate product value and performance; optimize product performance and appearance; and work closely with Design management and Senior Designers to advance and cultivate a personal portfolio of design skills, experiences, and product/process knowledge. Domestic and international Travel is required. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY. Must have a Master’s degree in Design or Textiles and 2 years of experience in the job offered or Design-related occupation.
