Lead Developer, IT Front End
Overall Job Summary

The Lead Developer, IT Front End will lead all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of application. This role will be responsible for ensuring our web design and user experience requirements, optimizing our web pages for maximum efficiency, and assisting our team to maintain brand consistency across all web pages, among other responsibilities. This individual is expected to work as an adviser to help identify, educate, and foster best-in-class solutions.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Play a vital role in development, configuration, build, review, and unit testing of responsive presentation layer code on multiple browsers and form factors Works with technical leads, architects, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify, and resolve system issues, ensure the system is implemented as designed and in adherence to the implementation guidelines Assist developers in integrating presentation layer code with applications Optimize presentation layer code to improve load time on browser Leads cross-functional teams in the design and delivery of best-in-class user experiences and interfaces Assist developers and analysts in conceptualizing and validating solutions that meet business requirements Partner with the business analysts to review and refine business requirements into core system capabilities Prototype new requirements for the purpose of enhancing technical functionalities and information process flow Assist in quality assurance (QA) efforts on tasks worked by providing input for test cases and supporting test case execution Work directly with the business users to provide support including the design and development of customer training materials and conducting customer training sessions Employs strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse Mentors team members on new technologies in area of expertise
  Required Qualifications

Experience: 7+ years writing presentation layer code for a responsive, high traffic, consumer facing website. 6+ Years of Responsive Web Design, JavaScript, JQuery, and CSS preferred. At least 5 years of working experience with React JS preferred and 3 years of Node JS and GraphQL preferred.

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is required. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Preferred knowledge, skills or abilities Strong knowledge of responsive and adaptive web design, development, and testing. Strong knowledge of cross-browser web design, development, and testing. Strong understanding of React/JavaScript frameworks Knowledge of single page web applications built with frameworks like React or AngularJS Experience architecting single page applications Knowledge of web page load time optimization. Knowledge of designing for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Familiarity using GIT for source code management is preferred. Ability to work independently and manage workload prioritization to deliver high quality work products on time and with minimal direction. Strong communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills Mentor team members on new technologies in area of expertise.
