OverviewThe Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing daily operational activity on our vehicle software build and cloud software builds which includes vehicle software builds, cloud services, mobile and web applications. This role would be part of the Software Operations team and focus on leading a lean team of DevOps engineers and growing our DevOps practice with the organization. You will need to use your technical depth and hands-on implementation experience to create an efficient, scalable solution for deploying and monitoring pipelines and services.
Responsibilities Lead in adopting best practices while implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, Lambda and Kubernetes amongst other tools. Lead investigations and PoC of new tools and technologies Work with IT governance to implement and validate compliance to overall enterprise policies and best practices Lead implementation of the CI/CD build pipelines and software delivery for the digital product Lead in managing monitoring solutions that provide visibility into the overall health of the applications, systems and code. Work with development & QA teams to identify & implement improvements to the development, deployment & monitoring workflows. Contribute to data driven decision making throughout the engineering team. Lead the automation and development tools that ensure the rapid, safe, and high-quality delivery of features. Lead the creation and improvements of CI/CD build pipelines and software delivery#LI-SK1
QualificationsRequired Experience:
6+ years of experience working in DevOps Strong programming and scripting knowledge, e.g. Node, Python, Bash, Powershell, Golang, Groovy Expertise with one of CI/CD systems and their pipelines, both cloud and on-premise; Jenkins(preferred), CircleCI, ArgoCD, GitlabCI, Buildkite. Familiarity with software configuration management systems and source code version control systems, e.g. git, bitbucket, svn Understanding of designing and developing architecture for cloud-based applications. Strong understanding of cloud native tools and managed cloud solution offerings (CNCF, AWS, GCP, Azure) Experience with Cloud Native platforms and tools including Kubernetes, Helm, Serverless Framework, Terraform, Lambda, Hashicorp Vault, AWS CLI. Experience with implementing serverless and containerized code best practices. Understanding observability initiatives such as dashboards and alerts using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, Jaeger. Excellent knowledge of build-time dependency management, testing/code-coverage tools, quality control and test automation. Understanding of PCI-DSS, CCPA and GDPR compliancePreferred Experience
