Main Ingredients of the Job

Participate in the Safety Performance Team and ensure that safety is a key focus.Train and mentor new drivers on company policies, procedures, and monitor compliance/performance.Perform customer site visits to determine feasibility of delivery.Partner with the Night Warehouse Supervisors on safety and visual aids/demonstrations.Perform post-accident ride-a longs with drivers to assist in identifying root cause analysis and re-training as necessary.Participate in offsite training and developmental opportunities.Must satisfactorily complete all company mandated trainings and assessments including US Foods Driver Onboarding program.Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery timesCarefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areasVerify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signaturesHandle collections and payments from customers when applicableProfessionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience

What you bring to the table 

Must be at least 21 years of age.  

Must have valid CDL A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT (Department of Transportation) qualified.  

Minimum 6 (six) months of commercial truck driving experience or 3 (three) months of foodservice or food and beverage truck delivery experience required.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected starting rate for this role is between $28.00./hr and $32.58/hr. As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, and component pay (i.e., based on cases, mileage, stops).
