Job Summary:

 

As a Lead E2E Solutions Architect (f/m/d), you will drive the design, delivery, and planning of comprehensive end-to-end solutions at an enterprise scale. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to achieve business goals and ensure a strong return on investment.

 

In this role, you will act as the strategic owner for key solutions architecture themes, shaping and evolving relevant capabilities. You will work across delivery units, mentoring others and promoting excellence among customers and partners. You will provide strategic direction while aligning with best practices and business requirements.

No direct line management responsibility is in scope for this role, however as a Chief Expert in the organization, this position is directly involved in leading major Architecture transformations and mobilizing efforts across multiple functional units and roles.

 

What you'll do

 

Design Authority: Serve as an expert in architecture, acting as a design authority for large-scale end-to-end cloud solutions for SAP Customer & Partner processes. Cross functional leadership: Identify paths for success and orchestrating end to end architectures across diverse set of functional unit within IT and line of Business in SAP. Solution Ownership: Lead and own the architectures across end-to-end processes, ensuring they are ready for implementation with sales, delivery, and customer engagement functions. Blueprint Development: Create target and transition solution architecture blueprints to guide project implementation. Collaboration and Alignment: Work actively with product, process management, engineering, and operations teams to align the architecture with current and future product and cloud offerings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business and process experts and global stakeholders up to the executive level. Business Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into practical technical solutions. Mentoring and Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to Solutions Architects and technical teams in executing architectural blueprints, ensuring alignment with project goals. Architecture Review and Integration: Conduct architecture reviews to maintain adherence to industry standards. Develop integration designs for seamless connectivity between SAP Cloud and on-premise systems. Data Architecture Design: Design data architectures that ensure optimal alignment to standards and effective utilization of central data products. Governance and Approvals: Prepare materials and submit proposals through architecture governance boards for approvals. Act as the design authority for key design decision when required. Strategic Support: Support senior management in shaping strategic directions. Technology and Industry Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, SAP advancements, and industry trends to incorporate best practices into solutions. Initiative and Leadership: Proactively identify and address potential risks associated with architectural decisions and cloud migrations, without the need for close supervision. Contribute to the development and optimization of the Architecture practice and the Cross Engineering function.

 

What you'll bring

 

Subject Experience:

Experience operating as a lead architect for complex end-to-end enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid solutions in the Customer domain. Strong understanding of SAP solution portfolios and key methodologies for efficient deployment and operation. Experience working as a solution architect in consulting or closely with customers is a plus. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP CX, SAP Commerce, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is highly desirable.

Lifecycle Experience:

Ideally, experience across the full lifecycle from idea to market, focusing on integration technologies and end-to-end process chains.

Leadership and Coordination Skills:

Ability to independently own, lead, and coordinate operational tasks, escalations, and process improvements.

Collaboration Focus:

Experience in aligning delivery architecture with enterprise architecture teams and working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.

Communication:

Comfortable in preparing executive board level communications material and provide senior leadership status report. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
