LEAD EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN (O/A)
Summary You will serve as a LEAD EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN (O/A) for the NAVAL ACADEMY. Responsibilities You will meet regularly with departmental Educational Technicians and their supervisors to ensure the effective and efficient administrative operations throughout the school. You will distribute and balance workload among other department educational technicians within the school and provide training on established procedures and practices. You will ensure school correspondence is reviewed, formatted, and routed in accordance with higher level guidance. You will work with school leadership and Provost administrative staff to identify issues affecting effective and efficient administrative operations, recommend potential solutions, and participate in their implementation if approved. You will review and process administrative data to include class schedules, student materials, documents, letters and instructional aids. You will serve as the school records and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) systems custodian and as a property and key inventory custodian within the school You will prepare, execute and coordinate the requisition of supplies, services, printing and equipment for the school. You will assure that public facing information on school webpage and community spaces is maintained up to date and accurate. You will perform duties as a purchase card holder or purchase card approving official as assigned. You will perform duties as a Defense Travel System approving official. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting and applying regulatory and procedural requirements to administer Naval Academy undergraduate educational programs; 2) Utilizing qualitative and quantitative techniques to perform analysis of DoD education program processes and operations; 3) Maintaining student and facility records, forms and data in accordance with federal Personnel Identifiable Information (PII ) requirements; and 4) Utilizing automated systems to perform various office support functions (reports, travel, timekeeping, etc.). AND This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
