Job Description SummaryRole Summary / Purpose:

The Environment, Health and Safety Leader will be responsible for driving business EHS goals, programs, and processes at the GEHC site located in Waukesha, WI.   The EHS Leader will be responsible for day-to-day EHS leadership and support, which includes the development, planning and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety programs & policies. This individual will also function in a team environment with other members of the plant level staff, Technicians and Hourly personnel to ensure EHS compliance.

Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures and practices to assure compliance with regulatory and GE requirements (OSHA, EPA, DOT, HMT, ANSI and IATA)Drive EHS compliance through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspectionsEngage and influence leadership commitment to EH&S and coach individuals to successfully execute specified EHS prioritiesAble to influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practicesManage key EHS performance indicators (KPI) for the site and drive necessary efforts for successLead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actionsAnalyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performanceAssure good standing and action plans with GE’s Environmental Health & Safety FrameworkInterface with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies, as neededExecute required actions to maintain OSHA VPP

Qualifications / Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, or closely related degreeMinimum of 3 years of experience in successful EHS program implementationDemonstrated ability to lead in a cross-functional team environmentStrong knowledge of US EHS related regulatory requirementsSolid understanding of healthcare industry and safety standardsExcellent leadership, program and project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate using English (or local language)
