Lead Electrician
**Job Title: Lead Electrician** **Job Description** Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and installs electrical equipment utilizing technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Operate, diagnose, analyze, and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes, and exhaust ventilation systems. Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan, and organize work. Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned. Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire, and connecting devices utilizing lifts and ladders. Perform equipment repairs and similar duties without oversight or direction. Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems. Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance programs. Will be leading a team of 3 other junior electricians. **Responsibilities** + Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment. + Operate, diagnose, analyze, and repair industrial equipment. + Perform daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance. + Run conduit, pull wire, and connect devices using lifts and ladders. + Perform equipment repairs without oversight or direction. + Use complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems. + Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance programs. + Lead a team of 3 junior electricians. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 8+ years related work experience as an Industrial or facilities electrician. + Knowledge of hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipment. + Experience handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC (mainly work in 110 voltage). + Strong knowledge of switchgears, troubleshooting of motor controls, drives, and electronic components. + Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics. + Ability to install electrical equipment and circuit systems. + Critical thinking skills along with the ability to interact with all levels of management. + High degree of initiative and the ability to work alone effectively or with a team. + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. + Proficient with computers and mobile devices. + Ability to identify electrical hazards and execute proper safety procedures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Good understanding of Drives and PLC is a plus. + General BMS knowledge is preferred. + No journeyman certification required. **Why Work Here?** Once permanent, eligible to purchase stock at a discounted price. The team consists of 15 technicians, not including engineers. Shifts are from 11am to 7:30pm, Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays and overtime as needed. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palo Alto, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
