Job Description
The Lead Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for software requirement development, software test and integration, application and embedded code with C/C++, and Linux-based development for GUIs and system control. You will assist with managing and directing the day-to-day activities of the Software Engineering Group, making individual work assignments, and providing technical direction to individuals in the group and to program teams.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop software requirements and conduct software testing and integration.Create and maintain application and embedded code using C/C++.Engage in Linux-based development for GUIs and system control.Oversee and manage the daily activities of the Software Engineering Group.Participate in proposal bidding and make individual work assignments.Provide technical direction to team members and program teams.Ensure project deliverables are achieved and lead the software team.Essential SkillsProficiency in Embedded C and C++.Experience with GUI development and Linux-based systems.Strong proposal management skills.Ability to lead software projects and teams.Knowledge of Agile methodology.Additional Skills & QualificationsBS in Computer Science.10+ years of experience in software engineering.Ability to hold a secret clearance.Experience in the aerospace or defense industry is preferred.Work Environment
The current maritime development team has 2 team members and will be growing to 5. You will have the opportunity to directly lead the software engineering team and help win new programs with proposal support.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
