Lead Emergency Department Technician
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose** At **Saint Francis Hospital** the Lead Emergency Room Tech provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and functions as an assistant to medical providers and licensed nurses. **What you will do** + Assumes a lead role by working with the nurse manager in organizing and ordering supplies. + Assumes a lead role in overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment. + Assumes a key role in the education and professional development of new and existing ED Techs. + Reports to ED leadership group on a monthly basis regarding the above, as well as any other issues and concerns among technicians. + Performs other duties as required. **Minimum Qualifications** + **Education** : High School diploma or equivalent. Current CT licensed EMT preferred, will consider Medical Assistant and CT Certified Nursing Assistant with experience. + **Experience** **:** Minimum of one (1) years of Acute Care experience in ED.
