Position Purpose
At Saint Francis Hospital the Lead Emergency Room Tech provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and functions as an assistant to medical providers and licensed nurses.
What you will do
Assumes a lead role by working with the nurse manager in organizing and ordering supplies. Assumes a lead role in overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment.Assumes a key role in the education and professional development of new and existing ED Techs.Reports to ED leadership group on a monthly basis regarding the above, as well as any other issues and concerns among technicians. Performs other duties as required.Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Current CT licensed EMT preferred, will consider Medical Assistant and CT Certified Nursing Assistant with experience.Experience: Minimum of one (1) years of Acute Care experience in ED. Experience with phlebotomy preferred.Certification: Must have current AHA BLS CPR CertificationEducation: High school diploma requiredAbility to read, write, and speak English, and perform simple math calculations requiredAbility to pass drug screening and background checkPosition Highlights and Benefits
