Lead EMS Education Specialist
Overview Expected pay for this position is $25.35 - $35.79/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The EMS Lead Instructor is responsible for planning, coordinating, revising, implementing, and reviewing course materials, schedules and handbooks for courses at all levels within the EMS system. They are the lead instructor with oversight and responsibility for compliance and metrics for courses submitted under their lead instructor certification. Assist with QA/QI review and feedback process and serve as a liaison for the system. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Licenses/Certifications: -CPR-Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation -Valid state driver's licence -Illinois licensed Paramedic or Illinois licensed PHRN -Illinois Lead EMS Instructor License (within 60 days of hire or first available class if one not available within 60 days). -Instructor Status in CPR & ACLS Nortern Region (LifeLine) - PALS & PHTLS Instructor Status Eastern Region EMS - (PALS or PEPP) & ITLS Instructor Status Experience: A level of knowledge gained through either a) the completion of a Paramedic certification with minimum five years of field experience and two years teaching experience or b) a current state of Illinois licensed Registered Nurse with a prehospital RN (PHRN) license, minimum of five years of clinical experience in Emergent and/or Critical Care and two years teaching experience Other skills/knowledge: -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. -Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. -Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
