This role involves setting strategy and managing day-to-day tasks for a team of two dedicated sustaining engineers located in New Berlin, WI, and Belleville, MI. The individual will provide technical leadership, communicate project status, and ensure the team collaborates effectively to maximize product manufacturability, sustainability, and durability.
ResponsibilitiesLead, plan, and contribute to the work of the Sustaining Engineering team, ensuring productivity, accountability, and effectiveness.Communicate project status and prioritization to stakeholders and coordinate with change management teams for transparency and visibility.Provide technical leadership in multi-functional groups regarding existing products, manufacturing processes, and CAD/PLM/ERP best practices.Lead initiatives applicable to Sustaining Engineering and assign individuals to multi-functional teams.Utilize the team to provide design and drafting support to the R&D team to facilitate on-time delivery of new product development projects.Identify, schedule, and attend or assign attendees to educational workshops, seminars, and trade shows to maintain and grow the department’s technical expertise.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks, CAD, and product data management (PDM).Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM).Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Knowledge of ISO standards and medical devices.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university, with a Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 3 to 5 years of applicable experience.Candidates without a bachelor's degree will be considered if they have relevant experience.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
