Job DescriptionThe Lead Engineer uses engineering systems and drawings to provide project coordination and structural design services and models for customers in addition to coordinating and providing leadership to the design engineers.
QualificationsPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
Provides well utilized designs of members and connections for Detailing and Manufacturing that meet customer’s requirements.Assures building’s structural integrity and safetyDevelops own advanced product and procedure knowledge and improves technical knowledgeFocuses on achieving department objective and profitability goals and continuous improvement as part of a high performance work team Collaborates with project teams to discuss problems and challenges and help create solutions to move forward in a cost effective and efficient mannerProvides technical assistance to customers on specific projects as well as to new entry level DesignersSupervises and reviews work of Design Team. Directs, mentors, trains and prepares staff for career developmentDevelops and monitors standard processesQualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in EngineeringProfessional Engineering registration6 years of engineering experience2 years of engineering experience on complex multi-unit projectsSolid knowledge of building codesKnowledgeable in steel designExperience developing and managing strong customer relationshipsPreferred Education & Experience Qualifications
10 years of Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) experience5 years of experience with complex structural design projectsCompetent in company systems and applicationsCompetent knowledge of company product and design proceduresTechnical Skills & Competencies
