Responsible for the coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects including the FEED, system design, implementation, factory acceptance test (FAT) phases and the site acceptance test (SAT) phases.
Ensure timely and efficient completion of project engineering work, following Emerson Process Management's global resources and standards, while meeting specific quality, budget, and schedule goals. Coordinate in detail the project team.
The Lead Engineer will apply their skills and experience to help the sales and proposals team pursue new business opportunities, ultimately contributing to overall business growth objectives.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Customer Relations – supports the relevant Project Manager in understanding, leading and achieving each customer’s expectations Handles engineering activities, using proactive methods and resources to minimize costs, enforce to schedules, and maintain high-quality outcomes. Assists Project Manager in crafting project schedule, providing updates on resource needs, progress, and risks for Lead Engineer's engineering work. Facilitates communication between team members and customers, providing essential details for assigned work. Procurement – supports the Project Lead or Project Manager in the development of the procurement list, including detailed specifications for any sub-contracted works and services where relevant, along with required delivery dates Leading project scope - comprehends the work scope for assigned engineering tasks and ensures its timely delivery within the specified budget and schedule. Promptly communicates any modifications initiated by the customer to the respective Project Manager. HSE/Quality control – ensures that all engineering activities are undertaken in accordance with the Company’s quality control processes and that the relevant standard is achieved – adheres to company’s and customer HSEQ standards at all times Team building – supports the Project Manager in the creation of an inclusive and supportive environment for all personnel within the project team and actively support team members in achieving any personal development objectives that may have been set for the project Proposals/sales support – actively contributes to any assigned bid activities to ensure that the customer’s requirements are fully understood and that innovative and cost effective solutions are proposed Suppliers help the Project Manager handle external parties involved in the project. They include product vendors, sub-contractors, other Emerson teams, and third parties working for the customer. They provide products and services for the Lead Engineer's assigned work. Technical knowledge – acquires, maintains and actively shares knowledge and experience with the engineering team and the wider organisation Who You Are:You show consistency between words and actions. For This Role, You Will Need: Engineering degree, state-certified technician, completed vocational training or equivalent knowledge 5+ years of relevant industry experience with a proven track record of handling system design, implementation and factory/site acceptance test phases of projects (process automation, systems and instrumentation) Extensive experience with direct customer contact and managing expectations Local language skills with proficient English (verbal and written); excellent communicator Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Ability and talent to lead a technical team – with leadership experience preferred Ability to work independently and within defined timelines Our Offer To You:
