Lead Engineer
**Overview** **Pay:** $36/HR The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. The Lead Building Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems. This includes hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, operating, maintaining and repairing all facility system equipment associated with HVAC operations and mechanical and electrical systems. The Building Engineer will also respond to customer requests and submit and close work orders as necessary and perform other duties as assigned. **Essential Functions & Responsibilities:** + Maintains and performs repairs to buildings, utilities, grounds and equipment. + Optimize the repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. Uses and helps provide best practices to troubleshoot and repair equipment and system problems so that problems are resolved in the most efficient and effective manner. + Maintains continuous operations of equipment by trouble‑shooting and repairing. + Provide hands-on training and collaboration to other engineering team members. + Fosters a work environment that promotes energy conservation and continuous improvement of engineering functions. + Records all pertinent data in building logbooks and makes all appropriate daily entries. + Conducts utility and equipment tests. + Preventive Maintenance program will be scheduled to meet the manufacturer’s requiredservices specifications. + Life/Safety and security systems - Equipment maintenance applicable in Engineer’s scopewill be included. + Records pertinent data on all equipment in accordance with federal, state, and local codes and requirements. + Process administrative paperwork in accordance to departmental policies and procedures. + Actively functions as a team member. + Assist in developing SOP’s and making sure the team is following them. + Ensure daily building rounds are performed by regularly auditing the site through building walkthroughs. + Demonstrates commitment to quality of service. + Complies with Engineering Services and facilities’ policies and procedures. + Complies and participates with Engineering Services safety program. + Complies and participates in facility specific safety program. + Maintains regular attendance in the workplace. + Provides highest quality of service to the tenants, staff and visitors at the facility. + Participate in regular required communication with Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, management, tenants and other staff. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualifications & Requirements:** + 5+ years of experience in Hotels or Residential Properties. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints + Required, highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC & Universal level refrigerant recovery license. + Computer skills, proficiency with Google workspace, CMMS database & Ticket system, and building automation systems (BAS) experience required. + Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements as required + Working knowledge of energy conservation required, formal training preferred REQNUMBER: 105694 All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
