Reports To: Engineer Supervisor, Director of Engineering, Hotel Manager
Status: Non-Exempt, Full Time
Range: $23.50-$24.50 based on experience
Plus a $250.00 Sign On Bonus
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer with experience in Preventive Maintenance (PM) rooms in the hospitality industry. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of hotel guest rooms, ensuring all systems and equipment function efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance, with a focus on preventive maintenance programs to uphold guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Five years of experience in HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrical and some knowledge in plumbing. Achieving and maintaining quality presentation in all public and back of the house areas at all times. Perform any other job duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain the hotel and keep the product quality
standard.
Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis (e.g., "room care").
Implement and complete the hotel’s PM rooms program, ensuring regular maintenance of HVAC , plumbing, electrical and furniture fixtures.
Identify and resolve maintenance issues proactively to prevent guest disruptions.
Maintain accurate records of PM activities, inspections, and completed work orders.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have five years of experience and or in a similar position.
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactory. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Preferred to have at least one year of experience in the hotel industry and or a similar position.
