Job Description SummaryBlade Repair Engineers support a global team responsible for providing support to our customers and technical field teams in day to day blade wind turbine blade repair. They also provide learnings and feedback to ongoing root cause investigations and New Product/Technology Introduction specific to blade repairs.

The job will include:
· Evaluation of operational risk of severely damaged blades
· Developing specific repair solutions
· Technical support to field related root cause investigations and quality improvement projects
· Input to, and review of field solutions and related instructions with a focus on safety, quality, and cycle time
· Implementation of field solutions and methods, including training of internal and external blade technicians

As a Blade Repair Engineer, you will play an important role in our effort to develop, implement and support our larger wind services strategy related to blade health management. We strive as a team to find and operationalize cutting edge technology along with common sense problem solving to best serve our larger wind team and customer base.

Develop repair plans for wind turbine blades in accordance with drawings and technical specificationsProvide support via technical escalation during wind turbine blade repairsApprove wind turbine blade repairs per internal quality requirementsDevelop and update repair proceduresTrain and certify GE and third party techniciansSupport new repair and tooling technologies through validation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of experience in composite engineering
