Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provides supervision and on-the-job training to all engineers in the absence of or in conjunction with managers Assures all work will be performed in a professional and timely mannerProvides technical information and field support to hotel staff, provides costing for parts and projects as it pertains to tradePerforms work that requires special skills of an electrician, carpenter, plumber, painter, mechanic and refrigeration mechanicCan be called upon to perform emergency duties at any hourAdheres to hotel and department policies.Uses tools safely and correctlyChecks clipboard and assignment sheet daily for job assignmentsCommunicates status of job assignments and maintenance requests to the supervisor in EnglishAssists and provides guidance for co-workers, and can perform the functions of an Eng. Eng. II and I.Requisitions and follows-up on needed materialsResponds to emergenciesResponds to trouble calls when directed to do so by the supervisorReviews and completes daily trouble call log when assigned to respond to trouble callsAssist guests with requests in English, and follows up to ensure completion and guest satisfactionPerforms general maintenance duties including, but not limited to minor electrical, kitchen, laundry, carpentry repairs, pool cleaning and paintingResponds to Meeting Room, Guest Room, Food & Beverage Outlet, Public Space, and Back of the house maintenance requestsSpecific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Reviews and complete daily complaint logMakes minor repairs to equipment brought to shopCan perform duties of phone dispatcherPerforms minor set-ups for hotel functionsMaintains and stock supplies and tools in storerooms on floorsUses tools safely and correctlyChecks clipboard and daily assignment sheet for job assignmentsCompletely familiar with Hotel Emergency procedures and able to respond quickly and accurately during an actual emergency, to notify all appropriate personnelNotifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow employeesAttends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, and work areaExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with safety regulations and proceduresComplies with hotel policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsMust be fluent in English (read, write and speak) A strong mechanical background with hands on journey-level experience in at least two trades (i.e.; HVAC, plumbing, electrical or refrigeration) requiredThis position requires bending, stooping, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 75 poundsMust be able to respond to emergencies, if required. Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidaysMust be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skillsQualifications
Education:
High school diploma and courses in engineering/maintenance requiredExperience:
Must have at least two years maintenance experience
