Roles and Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all productsDeveloping in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited college or university.Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US government clearanceDesired Characteristics
Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design of turbo-machinery components.Minimum of 3 years of experience in composites engineering.Effective team building and project management ability.Strong interpersonal and leadership skill.Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers.Knowledge of mechanical design of PMC components and assembly procedures.Strong project management skills.Ability to develop strategies and execute plans with a sense of urgency.Strong oral and written communication skills.This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
