THE JOB:

THE STARTING RATE: $41.12 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Material Coordination: Receive materials delivered from the warehouse and dock, ensuring accurate and timely handling.
Project Organization: Plan, prioritize, and organize projects as requested to align with operational needs.
Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed take-offs and cost estimates for assigned projects.
Task Execution: Complete assignments provided by Dispatch and Management efficiently and effectively.
Team Supervision: Oversee the work performed by facilities technicians, laborers, and engineers to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
Project Updates: Advise management on work order and project status, including scheduling and material requirements.
Safety Awareness: Maintain a proactive approach to safety and accident prevention across all activities.
Emergency Response: Respond to hotel emergencies promptly, prioritizing guest and employee safety and comfort during repairs.
Interdepartmental Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments across off-site properties.
Workplace Maintenance: Ensure all equipment and work areas remain clean, neat, and well-organized at all times.
Technical Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of materials, tools, and techniques used by various technical trades within the department.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age: 21 years old or older
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in a hotel or industrial complex property.
Availability: Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel through various methods, including email, phone, and in person.
Systems Proficiency: Familiarity with systems such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and property management tools like HotSOS or similar POS systems.
