Roles and Responsibilities
Work closely with combustion engineering team in a lab test environment.Work with team to develop emission measurement algorithms to validate designs as government regulations increase and market demands change.Review, analyze, and interpret test data and results. Develop formal, clear technical reports to provide findings and interpretation/analysis of test results.Participate and lead Root Cause Analysis studies as needed.Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all productsHas knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.Required Qualifications
BS in Engineering or Sciences OR a high school diploma/ GED with 8 years of relevant experience.Minimum 6 years’ experience in an engineering discipline. Knowledge in flow meter calculations (ASME - flow nozzles, orifices, venturis), NIST Real gas properties (REFPROP 8), NIST Matrix algebra, ASME steam tables, heat and mass balance calculation, Gas Turbine Combustion efficiency, adiabatic firing temperature, Turbine efficiency calculations.Knowledge in emission sciences, combustors, and data acquisition measurement systems. Ability to work off-hours or flex time to accommodate testing scheduleDesired Characteristics
Master of Science degree in Engineering or Sciences.Gas Turbine knowledge or experience.Excellent project management skills with technical writing and documentation control mind set.Experience working with data systems design and development to support testing of gas & steam turbines, generators and/or sub-systems both in the field and laboratory environment.Experience with data acquisition, analysis and data reduction.Knowledge of instrumentation to measure temperature, pressure, flow, static and dynamic stain, dynamic pressure, vibration and accelerometers, etc., digital signal processing and computerized data acquisition systems.Basic understanding of programming languages such as C/C#/LabVIEW/Python/MatLAB and their uses in data acquisition and data analysis.About Us

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $98,400.00 - 164,000.00 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
