We have an immediate need for a Lead Engineering Technician - Energies Compressor Room Operations (Shift 1) on our Test Services Energies Team- Shift 3 to support our compressed air, vacuum system, and fuel delivery system for turbine engine testing. The systems include large machinery such as centrifugal compressors, refrigerant air dryers, desiccant air dryers, cooling towers, pneumatic and water valves, natural gas heaters, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), electric motors, pumps, and various instrumentation.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Work Hours are from 5:45 AM until 1:45 PM (shift 1).

\n

 

 

Key Responsibilities

\n\nObserve all OSHA and Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.\nMonitor and operate Compressed Air and Jet Fuel delivery systems.\nConduct periodic maintenance on large air compressors, air heaters, cooling water systems, refrigerant dryers, pumps, motors, and related equipment.\nMaintain equipment maintenance and repair records.\nPerform troubleshooting, equipment repairs and support contractor efforts.\nDevelop strategies to continually improve energy systems operation reliability and cost savings.\nTroubleshoot with PLC ladder logic and MMI computers.\nNeed to pass a Powered Industrial Vehicle Forklift test and Aerial, Scissor, Boom, Manlift test.\nMust be able to safely operate power tools.\nMust be able to lift up to 35 pounds with some bending and twisting required for maintenance and repairs.\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\n3+ years' experience maintaining mechanical industrial equipment.\n\n

 

\n

WE VALUE

\n\nBasic knowledge of high-speed rotating centrifugal compressors.\nExperience working with industrial air delivery systems.\nHVAC certified, Plumbing certified, familiar with Chillers, familiar with Refrigerant/Desiccant Dryers.\nPLC programming / troubleshooting experience.\nElectrical experience.
