Essential skills and experience:
Requires a BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. MS is preferredA minimum of 10 years of experience in the preparation of federal Environmental Reports, Environmental Impact Statements, other NEPA documents, and permit applications for federal environmental permits and licensesDemonstrated understanding of federal environmental regulations implementing the requirements of the National Environmental Policy ActExperience evaluating and interpreting site-specific environmental site surveys, for example, ecology, wetlands, archeology, and noise studiesFamiliarity with environmental laws and regulations that apply to nuclear facilities, including the National Environmental Policy Act, Threatened & Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.Environmental impact assessment/permitting experience, including specific experience in one or more of the following fields: Environmental Impact AssessmentsSubsequent License Renewals and associated Environmental ReportsNPDES wastewater and construction stormwater discharge permittingWetlands permittingMajor source air permittingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and regulatory agenciesSargent & Lundy is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
