Lead Estimator - Transportation
Lead Estimator - Transportation What we are looking for: Aldridge is seeking a Transportation Lead Estimator to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role will work collaboratively with the estimating team to coordinate plan procurement, bid preparation and bid review with our estimating administrators in our Mid-Atlantic Region. Projects are focused on electrical scopes for railroads, airports, and highways. What you’ll do: Perform estimating activities and duties including: + Reviewing project plans, requirements, and specification + Understanding project logistics and project schedule + Performing accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing + Understanding of national, state, and city construction codes of the trade and location of work + Developing and executing strategy to win work + Managing assignments of estimating resources + Managing bid/proposal schedule Who you are: We are pursuing candidates with the following qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business Management, other related major, or equivalent construction/Union trade background + 5+ years’ experience in estimating + Experience preferred in highway, railroad, and airport work + Bluebeam and Excel experience is preferred + Strong work ethic + Highly detailed and task oriented + Ability to prioritize and manage time + Excellent communication + Ability to work cross functionally with all leaders and divisions throughout Aldridge + Willing to travel as necessary Baltimore-Norfolk to support bids and project turnovers + Willing to travel as necessary to Chicago IL Headquarters for training / bid reviews and closeouts Who we are: At Aldridge, we invite you to be a part of our dynamic team, where your skills are not only valued but crucial to our success.
