The Lead Event Technician is responsible for leading the technician team to execute all production-related tasks. This role will assist the Production Managers in overseeing and coordinating all technical and production details for client rentals (such as conferences, trade shows, meetings, and social functions), as well as the technical, hospitality, and transportation aspects of entertainment events. Collaborate with the Banquets, Marketing, and Sales departments to ensure the smooth and successful operation of events in The Hall & Event Center, as well as entertainment functions in the casino's food and beverage outlets. Train production technicians to support event operations. Direct production crews and act as on-site production representatives. The primary focus will always be on maintaining a positive, can-do attitude, with a strong emphasis on providing the highest level of guest service to both external and internal guests. The Lead Event Technician reports directly to the Assistant Production Manager.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

 

Responsible to the Production Manager for successful day-to-day operation of concerts and events.Oversee technician team that executes all technical needs in the venue as well as internal and external stagehands.Work directly with clients to understand and fulfill their AV requirements, ensuring flawless execution.Coordinate with entertainment acts on the day of the event to ensure their production needs and show quality are met.Attend planning meetings for upcoming productions.Develops and maintains a system for equipment inventory.Responsible for physical organization of equipment and production area cleanliness.Responsible for the quality of service. Lead the setup, tear down and operation of audio, video, lighting, rigging, and staging equipment.Troubleshoot, repair, and direct maintenance of audio, video, lighting, rigging, and staging equipment.Ensure the safety and security of all guests, entertainers and team members/employeesOther duties as assigned

 

Skills to Help You Succeed:

Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results. Ability to solve complex problems. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment. 5+ years’ experience in event and concert production environments.Communicate effectively and efficiently.Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.Strong guest service skills.Must have reliable transportation. Qualifications

Must-Haves:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position.5+ years’ experience in event and concert production environments.Technical certifications or degree in applicable field a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and or push up to 80 lbs.Must be able to work standing, for up to 4 hours at a time.Must be able to work in small, confined areas.Must be able to bend at the waist.Able to work from a ladder at 8 and 12 feet.Must be able to reach above the head. What We Offer
