Lead Exercise Physiologist - Cardiology Lab

Responsibilities

The Lead Exercise Physiologist acts as the administrative and technical support for all procedures provided by the Cardiology-Lab. These tasks include performing electrocardiograms, event monitoring, stress treadmill testing, nuclear stress testing, trans-telephonic pacemaker checks, tilt table testing, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, trans-thoracic echocardiograms, and results coordination.  In addition to the general departmental and modality specific responsibilities, the Lead Exercise Physiologist will be actively involved in teambuilding, problem resolution, coordinating equipment repairs, providing feedback to management, and engaged in supporting the goals of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. The Lead Physiologist will be the primary contact in the absence of the Cardiology Lab Manager or Supervisor.

Job Type: Full Time 


Salary Range: $ 64,369 - $79,496 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

 

Qualifications


Education


Required: Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related Field.


Preferred: Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field preferred.


Experience


Required: 3 yrs general Cardiology-Lab experience

 

OR

 

1 yr KSC Cardiology Lab experience. 

 

Testing equipment familiarity: GE EKG machines, treadmill control systems, and Holter monitor systems or 

 

Similar.


Preferred: MUSE experience, Pace Art experience, Cardiopulmonary stress testing.


License(s)


Required: BLS certification, ACLS certification.


Preferred: ACSM certification.


Special Skills


Required: Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience.


Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish


Other 


Required: May be required to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab
