Lead Facilities Technician

Who You Are:

Versar Global Solutions is looking for a full-time CFX Lead Facilities Technician responsible for performing repairs on various local toll plaza facilities. In addition to providing team leadership and mentorship, as part of a maintenance team this role will perform routine, reactive and emergency maintenance of facilities and its components.

This position dispatches from home to different CFX (Central Florida Expressway) facilities/job sites in the area as assigned via a dedicated company vehicle. Frequent presence at the Ocoee office will be required.

What You’ll Do:

Oversees and provides mentorship of assigned maintenance to team employees.Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to roadway maintenance supervisor.Assists with the planning and preparation of on-boarding for new maintenance team members.Works and communicates with clients and customers providing polite, quality professional service.Displays a high level of initiative, effort, attention to detail and commitment and ensures same from maintenance team.Clearly communicates goals and deadlines with team and ensures expectations are met or exceeded.Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.Performs preventive and routine maintenance for various building components to include electrical systems, plumbing, interior/exterior finishes, lighting, roofing systems, etc.Repair and/or replace electrical devices to include light switches, ballasts, fixtures, outlets, circuit breakers, fuses, etc.Repair and/or replacement of building doors, door hardware, windows, floor tile, ceiling tile, drywall, etc.Perform plumbing work such as clearing clogged lines, installation and/or repair of new plumbing fixtures, repairs water leaks, etc. Inspects and performs repairs and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to include fans, exhausts, ductwork, etc. Ascends ladders up to 40’ in height to inspect and perform repairs on building roofs, flashings, masonry, building interiors & exteriors, walkways, stairways, offices, and common areas. Repair and monitor safety equipment such as fire "Exit" signs and emergency lighting. Make general repairs of emergency doors, etc.Performs diagnostic and general repairs and preventative maintenance on power generators.Uses bucket trucks/truck mounted lifts to reach and perform maintenance as needed.Demonstrate good safety practices and establish work areas compliant with OSHA safety standards and practices.Requires travel to various facilities on the CFX Highway System, company vehicle provided. Opportunities for overtime and work on nights and weekends may be required.Use all equipment safely.Care for equipment and notifies management of needed repairs.Perform pre-storm preparation and post-storm clean-up during inclement weather events.Respond to after-hours or emergency needs as required.Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED equivalent, associates preferred.3-5 years of experience working in a commercial facilities maintenance setting.Demonstrates knowledge and experience with various types of building components and systems. Electrical experience w/knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems a plus. Ability to operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment in a safe and proficient manner, ability to operate heavy equipment/machinery a plus.1-2 years of experience in providing leadership and/or mentorship to others, or supervising others.Must maintain a valid United States driver’s license and demonstrate the ability to operate a vehicle and tow an attached trailer.Basic computer skills with Windows based systems.Basic English skills desired, bilingual a plus.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to handle multiple projects, daily activities, and meet timelines. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to identify issues and to determine repairs that are needed.Must have transportation to and from Company office.Must be able to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.).Be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends.MOT certificate must be obtained.Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.Comply with company drug and alcohol policy.Be authorized to work in the U.S. or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.

Preferred Qualifications

EPA UniversalCDL A or BFamiliarity with performing maintenance on Lieber HVAC Systems

Location Requirements

The position will primarily work onsite in Ocoee, FL.

Compensation 

Expected Salary: $22/hr – $26/hr
