Lead Field Service Technician

Summary: The Lead Technician will lead a team of Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, power inverters, and substation components. Requirements: + Mentors and setspositive example for junior technicians. + Collaborates with senior line managers for plant maintenance. + Troubleshoots low voltage DC power systems. + Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems. + Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems. + Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment. + Utilizeshand tools effectivelyand appropriately. + Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). + Maintainsinventoryof spareparts and consumables. + Assist in development of site operating plans. + Follows site safety plan and safe work practices. + Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures. + Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.). + Interfaces with project subcontractors. + Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders. + Responds to physical location within 1.5 hours for emergency calls identifiedas a priority by Operations Control Center. + Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies. + Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected. + Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures. + Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response. + Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude. Safety: + Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly. + Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working. + Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates “at risk” behaviors. + Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly. + Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence. + Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures. + Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing. + Follows technical, quality and safety systems in place and determines appropriate action. Qualifications: + High school/GED General Education required. + Associates Degree related Technical Degree preferred. + Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred. + Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred. + 4+ years or more related electrical maintenance experience required. + 2+ years or more Medium voltage electrical work experience required. + 1+ years or moreHigh voltage electrical workexperiencepreferred. + Intermediate, High voltage electrical power systems. + Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) + Advanced, low, medium, high voltage electrical power systems, drawings and circuit theory. + OSHA regulations. + Hand tools. + Job hazard analysis (JHA) creation. + Electrical tools (multimeter, IR camera). + ANSI/NETA/MTS. + SCADA systems. + Ability to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities. + Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization. + Domestictravel5-15% required. + Valid Driver’s License required. Anticipated base salary range: $38.46 - $45.19 The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. RES offers benefits that are effective first day of the month following 30 days of full-time employment.
