Lead Field Service Technician – Controls/Security

\n\n

Responsible for responding and resolving service calls, providing technical support, and troubleshooting various issues for our customers, for Honeywell’s HVAC, automation controls, life safety, fire, and security systems.  Additional responsibilities may also include technical delivery of small service jobs, preventative maintenance, customer training and installations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the necessary paperwork is accurate, timely and thoroughly completed with minimal supervision.

Job Duties:

\n\n\n\tTechnical and Job-Related Responsibilities\n\t\n\t\tVerify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements including testing, calibrating verify system and peripheral device operations as per preventative maintenance schedule.\n\t\tComplete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.\n\t\tPerform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches\n\t\tMaintain customer system documentation with any configuration or model changes.\n\t\tRespond to emergency service calls as required\n\t\tKeep abreast of changes and new developments in product and preventive maintenance techniques\n\t\tAvailability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required\n\t\n\t\n\tCustomer Management\n\t\n\t\tPromote, build and maintain good customer relations\n\t\tKeep Supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems\n\t\tDemonstrate system and provide training to customers as required\n\t\tBe aware of service contract scope of service, equipment coverages, and requirements\n\t\n\t\n\t Health and Safety\n\t\n\t\tCarry out site hazard and risk assessments for Honeywell tasks, including proper use of safety personal protective equipment\n\t\n\t\n\tAdministrative Responsibilities\n\t\n\t\tBe responsible for Honeywell’s assets such as tools, software, and site database\n\t\tKeep documentation and paperwork up-to-date\n\t\tReal time job reporting\n\t\n\t\n\n\n\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n\n\t3+ years of field experience in HVAC or security experience, automation controls, life safety, and security systems\n\tPost-secondary education in electronics or technical field.\n\tImmunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act\n\tValid G Driver License\n\n\n
