Position Summary

The Lead Advisor plays a crucial role in guiding clients towards achieving their financial and investment goals. This position requires a deep understanding of financial planning, investment strategies, and client relationship management. The Lead Advisor will lead a team of advisors, provide strategic direction, and ensure the highest level of service to clients. The Lead Advisor will be employed by Emerald Financial Group. As such all existing and new clients of the practice will remain that of Emerald Financial Group and not that of the Financial Advisor. We are open to individuals who do not have financial services experience but possess a proven track record of success and experience in leading a Sales Team.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of financial advisors Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide feedbackEnsure team members adhere to compliance and ethical standardsFoster a collaborative and supportive team environmentDevelop and implement strategies to grow the client base and increase assets under managementAccountable for hitting personal and team sales targetsCommunicate complex financial concepts in a clear and understandable mannerPrepare and present detailed reports on investment performance and financial plansIdentify opportunities for new services and product offeringsActively develops organizational strategic goals as a member of the Executive LeadershipProvide one-on-one financial guidance and connect clients to products, services and unique membership benefitsRun client meetings and compose meeting notesPreparation for and follow up from client meetings including, but not limited to, obtaining client documents and statementsCounsel and advise prospective and current clients on suitable financial products and investment advisory services Explain, discuss or interpret insurance coverage; analyze exposures or policies; provide recommendations Precisely and promptly open and complete product applicationsAccept and/or enter securities trade orders from customers, including unsolicited trade orders precisely and promptlyAssist client with product changesObtain client financial and/or suitability informationManage sensitive client communications, including confidential information, and respond promptly through verbal and written channels to maintain a high level of customer satisfactionMaintain compliance standards and education requirement for all licenses and certifications necessary for the work within Emerald Financial GroupFacilitate and/or co-present product specific seminars and/or workshops as necessaryAttend and participate in client events, workshops, business events, and fraternal events and meetings Participate in business planning for the practice as neededParticipate in weekly team meetings

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related fieldHolds Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as insurance licensesMust be willing to complete appropriate state training to sell any productsCollege degree preferred or equivalent work experiencePrevious experience leading teamsExperience assessing client needs, identifying/recommending solutions, and building/managing client relationshipsPrevious sales experience preferred, but not requiredPrefer at least 5 years industry experience but may consider a strong candidate with less experiencePrevious experience with Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro and Morningstar
