The Lead Fork Lift Operator is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment. This role involves managing warehouse staff, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining an organized work environment.\nMay Report to\n
Site Supervisor\/Site Leads\nResponsibilities\nClient relationship & Business development\n\nAct as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.\n\nOperations\n\nMust perform circle check\/walk around on forklift at the beginning of every shift.\nVerifies that trucks have been properly secured and perform a Blind Tally using a lumberman's count on inbound and outbound shipments, when required. \nMay band\/Strap product and verify material is ready for shipment.\nRemove any old placards.\nReturn\/manage dunnage and remove skids\/containers.\nVerify quantities on labels. If a quantity has been changed, record it on the tally.\nRe-count if a variance is discovered.\nVerify appropriate placarding and markings on all outgoing shipments.\nWork as an inspector when required.\nMake sure the warehouse is organized and that the next load is staged and ready for shipment. \nComplies with relevant local Health and Safety legislation. \nSupports company Health and Safety Policies.\n\n
Organization & Management\n\nSupervise loading and unloading of trucks and verify that related documents are correctly signed.\nManaging inventory\nTrain and ensure employees are trained by appropriate trainer. \nEnsure employees are working in a safe manner employing zero tolerance safety principles.\n\nTechnical \n\nUtilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements. \nOperating and managing technical equipment.\n\n\nCollect & analyze daily workload for all inbound, outbound, repack production, and put away.\nMake employee work adjustments as necessary, with manager guidance. \nEnsure standard processes and\/or procedures are followed. \nInvestigate inventory issues and other customer concerns with Operations management staff. \nEngage in special projects, time studies, and other analyses or projects as required.\nCommunicate personnel issues or possible employee disciplinary actions with manager.\nReport process- or tool issues and\/or equipment problems to the manager. \n\nOther \n\nAny other duties as assigned\n\nKnowledge, skills, abilities\n
