Lead Hardware Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to join our\nengineering team in the field of Power Systems, Battery Systems, and Battery\nEnergy Storage Technology located in Fort Washington, PA.

Key Responsibilities:
-The individual will conceptualize, design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team
-You will be a key technical focal point across Honeywell Industrial Automation engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers
-By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence hardware design directions and methodology developments.
-You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of industrial automation, sensing and control products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. 
-You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the development of products to customer specifications
-As a hardware engineering technical expert, working under limited supervision, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and mentor to more junior engineers
-The successful candidate will work in a global environment and must be able to think globally, allowing for cultural, geographical and even time zone differences to ensure project goals and objectives meet business expectations.

YOU\nMUST HAVE:
•\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical\ndiscipline such as engineering, science, or technology.
•\nA minimum of 10 years of experience as technical contributor in a New Product\nIntroduction (NPI) environment.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing and solving complex technical\nproblems and providing solutions that can be implemented in a timely manner.
•\nA minimum of 5 years of experience working with detailed engineering and\nassembly drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience performing laboratory testing to verify\nand confirm design outputs meet the design inputs.
•\nExcellent communication and technical writing skills, capable of adapting style\nand tone according to the situation and audience. Effectively communicates\nmessage to all levels, including to senior leadership.
•\nAbility to travel to manufacturing site(s) or suppliers as needed. Likely a 3-5\nday trip every few months.

WE VALUE:
•\nExperience in Lithium-Ion Battery Design and Production
•\nExperience in Computational Fluid Dynamics and related modeling
•\nExperience in Energy & Thermal Management Systems
•\nExperience in Power Grid Systems and Inverter/Power Conversion Systems
•\nExperience in Liquid Cooling of Batteries
•\nPrevious involvement in defining and developing processes related to design,\nanalysis, test, manufacture, quality and productivity. Familiarity with\nrequirements of and considerations for product certification processes\nindicative of third party or regulatory agency certifications.
• Experience in performing classical engineering/technical analysis on designs,\nsuch as engineering stress analysis, fatigue and vibration analysis, using both\nconventional engineering techniques and computer simulation.
