Lead HVAC Technician
**Overview** **_SIGN ON BONUS UP TO $2,500_** **_Pay: $48/hr - $60/hr_** **_The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2024 Employee Benefits (https://www.abm.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/2024-Recruitment-Frontline-11.6.23.pdf) | Front Line Team Members | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM). •11 paid holidays including 1 that is a personal choice day to use on any day of your choice. •PTO: Starting at 2 weeks vacation and 2 weeks sick pay per year (giving you 4 weeks off per year on top of holidays). _**After 5 years with the company an additional week of vacation is added, and after 15 years another week is added going up to 6 weeks total!_ **Basic Qualifications:** • Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials • Must have commercial HVAC trade experience • Five (5) or more years of commercial HVAC experience are required **Preferred Qualifications (but not fully necessary):** • Manufacturers certifications • Possess an HVAC masters license • Experience in any specialty areas of the trade (VFDs , VRF technology, CRAC unit experience, Niagara Controls experience, Aaon experience, Large boiler, combustion analysis, steam, or centrifugal chillers experience as examples) • Manufacturer Startup experience (internal for your company or external for other companies) • Hot Water Boiler and Air-cooled chiller experience **Responsibilities:** • Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems of all types and tonnages • Manage and take ownership of the work being performed and follow up, recommend repairs, and provide feedback to clients. • Perform preventive maintenance and identify service risks on equipment • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems, and be able to adjust and troubleshoot unit controls, refrigeration components, and/or loop or waterside components • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently • Provide technical direction for clients and co-workers • Fill out paperwork digitally and ensure thorough reports to give the clients and office an in depth understanding of any issues, concerns, and what work was performed • Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements • Assist with customer queries inquiries • Complete other duties as assigned **Other Information (Small Company Benefits):** • On call standby pay is 16 hours of straight time. On call periods are for one week and typically occur once every 2-3 months. All on call calls are paid port to port and are a minimum of 4 hours. • Drive time over an hour to your first job, and over an hour to home from your last job is paid. All drive time between jobs is fully paid. • Technicians get paid 2% for quoted jobs and minor repairs they find and quote (paid out quarterly). Technicians can also put leads in for larger jobs (such as unit install or maintenance contracts) and make a smaller percentage of those jobs. • ABM pays up to $250 per year for the technician to buy their choice of pants and $150 per year for boots •Only hand and small tools (including drills, gauges, and voltage meters) are asked to be provided by the technician. All large or specialty equipment is purchased by ABM. If any tool not purchased by ABM is broken or needs to be replaced, ABM will pay fully for the replacement and the new tool will still be owned by the technician.
