Job Title: OpenText EDI Support resource
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced OpenText EDI Resource to manage and support the OpenText EDI platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, and supporting EDI integrations between trading partners, ERP systems, and other business applications using OpenText solutions. The role will involve troubleshooting, process optimization, and ensuring that EDI transactions are seamlessly processed, reducing manual intervention and ensuring compliance with standards.
Skills and Experience:
• 5+ Years of Experience with OpenText EDI solutions, including OpenText Trading Grid, BizManager, ActiveDocs, and other OpenText EDI products.
• Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, XML, etc.) and business document formats like invoices, purchase orders, shipping notices, etc.
• Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, or other enterprise applications.
• EDI mapping and translation experience using tools like OpenText BizManager, Data Mapping, XSLT, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving EDI-related issues (e.g., transmission failures, mapping errors, partner communication issues).
• SQL knowledge for querying EDI databases and performing data analysis.
• Knowledge of networking protocols used in EDI communications (e.g., FTP, SFTP, AS2).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze, map, and troubleshoot EDI transaction flows, ensuring they meet business and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
• Support EDI Integrations: Support and maintain OpenText EDI solutions for seamless integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) and other business systems. Set up and map business documents, such as invoices, purchase orders, shipping notices, etc., between systems and trading partners.
• EDI Transaction Management: Oversee the exchange of electronic documents using EDI standards (e.g., EDIFACT, X12, XML). Ensure that all inbound and outbound transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
• EDI Troubleshooting: Provide timely support for EDI-related issues, including troubleshooting transaction failures, system errors, and communication problems between trading partners or systems.
• System Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor the EDI system to ensure transactions are successfully processed. Proactively identify opportunities to optimize EDI processes for performance, error reduction, and automation.
• Mapping and Translation: Work with business users to define EDI document requirements and map business data to EDI formats. Utilize OpenText BizManager or Trading Grid to configure the mapping and translation of EDI messages.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure EDI transactions adhere to relevant industry standards, including EDI X12, EDIFACT, and others. Keep abreast of changes in standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Vendor & Trading Partner Management: Coordinate with external vendors, customers, and trading partners to onboard them onto the EDI system, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon formats and processes. Address any issues related to trading partner communications.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation for EDI system configurations, mappings, and workflows. Provide regular reports and updates on EDI performance, including transaction volumes and system errors.
• Support & Training: Provide technical support to business teams, troubleshoot user issues, and deliver training on OpenText EDI systems. Guide the business on best practices for EDI use, ensuring the system is fully utilized.
• Upgrades & Patches: Coordinate the implementation of OpenText system upgrades, patches, and system maintenance. Ensure minimal disruption to EDI operations during updates.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as IT, business analysts, and supply chain teams to ensure that EDI processes align with business needs and to identify opportunities for process improvements.
