We are seeking an experienced AWS QuickSight Engineer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence and analytics solutions using AWS QuickSight. The successful candidate will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights through the creation of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations. This role will require a deep understanding of AWS services, especially QuickSight, and the ability to communicate insights to technical and non-technical teams alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using AWS QuickSight to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including RDS, Redshift, S3, and other AWS services, and ensure data is optimized for reporting and visualization.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to identify business requirements and translate them into QuickSight solutions.
- Manage and maintain QuickSight environments, including user access control, row-level security, and shared dashboards.
- Optimize data pipelines and data models to support scalable and efficient QuickSight visualizations.
- Work with stakeholders to interpret data requirements, develop custom calculations and metrics, and provide actionable insights.
- Perform regular updates and maintenance on dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data connectivity, performance, and data quality within QuickSight reports and visualizations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence or data engineering with a focus on AWS QuickSight.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, such as QuickSight, S3, Redshift, Glue, RDS, Athena, and Lambda.
- Proficient in SQL and experience in designing ETL pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to create meaningful insights from complex datasets.
- Experience implementing row-level security, parameters, and other advanced QuickSight features.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling concepts, especially within AWS environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- QuickSight certification or equivalent AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) to support data preparation and automation.
