Front-end Developer: Drupal

Location: India (Any UST office location) 

Work timings: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST

Overview:

This position will be a key team member assisting customers portals development and enhancements. This resource will also be expected to work together other developers who are located both onshore and offshore.

Candidate needs to have strong expertise -Drupal 10, PHP, LAMP, Acquia, CodeIgniter, Frameworks, CSS, MYSQL, Sass, HTML, jQuery, Front end Development, Symfony, JavaScript, Bootstrap, CakePHP, MVC, Less, AWS

• Hands on experience in Drupal site building, administration, custom module development and theming.

• Understanding of industry trends and content management system (CMS) are essential.

• Good Foundation of Drupal 10 core modules and contributed module.

• Well versed with the Drupal 10 ecosystem components (Drush, Git, Composer, TWIG, Site Building and Module development)

• Should have experience with Drupal user interface development to include user experience, theme development, and customization

• Should have experience with configuration and modification of contributed modules, implementation of standard hooks, and implementation of standard self-test regimes, VIEWS, Blocks, etc

• Ability to code and debug in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript jQuery (React js, Node js, Vue.js, latest js versions)

• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.

• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages

• Experience with version control (GIT, SVN, etc.) 

• Experience in developing a website from start to finish

• Experience in Front end Development (React js. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Jquery, AngularJS, Less, Sass, Bootstrap, Foundation, SVG and Icon Library, Responsive site)

• Must have strong technical and analytical skills for issue debugging and resolution.

• Knowledge of web standard, OOP, MVC and MYSQL.

• Must have worked in any one of the frameworks - Codeigniter, CakePHP, YII, Symfony.

• Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment.

• Working knowledge of modern Drupal block-based layout systems like Layout Builder and/or Acquia Site Studio

• Experience with Acquia cloud hosting and Acquia service products.

• Experience in design, development, and implementation of Acquia Cloud platform.

• Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP will be an added advantage.

• Through understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.

• Strong understanding of Acquia out of box features, modern version development, workflows etc, Acquia Drupal certification(s) are a plus. Key

Responsibilities:

• Lead development efforts for Drupal websites, including custom module and theme development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance Drupal solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

• Provide advanced-level support (L3) for resolving complex technical issues escalated from L1 and L2 teams.

• Ensure Drupal sites are secure, applying patches, security best practices, and proactive vulnerability assessments.

• Work closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates, and deliver high-quality technical solutions on time.

• Investigate and resolve production incidents, conducting detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence of similar issues in the future.

• Maintain high standards of code quality by adhering to Drupal best practices, code reviews

• Provide guidance to L1 and L2 developers, offering technical mentoring, knowledge sharing, and troubleshooting assistance.

• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in Drupal and frontend development, and support methodologies. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance both development and support processes.
