Brady is seeking an exceptionally talented Lead Image Processing Engineer with a customer-centric approach and expertise in firmware, electronics, and automation. This role combines technical proficiency in image processing, software, electronics, and optics with a strong ability to engage directly with customers. You’ll contribute to product development, optimize existing technologies, and work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met and exceeded. You excel at bridging technical knowledge with customer engagement and enjoy applying innovative solutions in a collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
+ Partner with customers and product teams to understand specific needs, gather insights, and develop tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction.
+ Design and test firmware on embedded platforms, such as Raspberry Pi, to automate processes and improve product functionality with direct impact on the customer experience.
+ Use your expertise in electronics, sensors, and optics/RFID systems to ensure high-quality image capture and processing, adapting solutions based on customer feedback.
+ Develop and refine image processing and pattern recognition algorithms, implementing these in C/C++ and optimizing for embedded platforms based on end-user feedback.
+ Apply statistical methods and Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate system performance and reliability, focusing on enhancing features that directly benefit customers.
+ Engage directly with customers to provide technical insights, troubleshoot issues, and gather feedback on product performance, ensuring customer needs are reflected in every stage of development.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and customer support, to ensure product specifications, documentation, and testing are aligned with customer expectations.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in image processing or embedded systems, with a focus on customer-facing roles or projects.
+ Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and automation techniques for embedded platforms.
+ Strong understanding of MS Visual Studio and experience with Raspberry Pi or similar systems.
+ Solid foundation in electronics, sensors, and basic optics or RFID technology, with an ability to communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Excellent analytical skills with a strong grasp of statistical analysis and DOE (Design of Experiments).
+ Clear, effective communication skills and a proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical customer teams to translate their needs into actionable solutions.
+ A proactive, team-oriented attitude, with the flexibility to learn and apply new technologies in response to customer needs.
