As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Enterprise Observability Platform team, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities

Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and minimum 5+ years of applied experience. Hands-on experience with Splunk SPL, including complex event processing and transformation. Proficiency in extracting customer requirements for logs, events, and metrics, and experienced in modeling and running ETL processes for big data management. Proficient in coding, preferably in Python or Java. Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, AI, machine learning, observability, or mobile technologies. Commitment to continuous learning and exploring new technologies. Proven experience working in an agile team environment, utilizing methodologies like Scrum

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Familiar with automation as code and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or SALT/Puppet. Familiarity with observability tools like CloudWatch, Splunk, or Elastic is highly valued.
