Ford Quality is responsible for driving continuous improvement efforts that enable Ford to deliver the highest quality products and services. To achieve this, we work cross functionally and closely with integrated teams in Manufacturing, Product Development, Purchasing and Supplier Technical Assistance.
In this position...
You will Interface with production departments, to address quality issues, internal Quality Operating System (QOS) adherence, root cause analyses, closure of 8D’s, chargebacks, part sort coordination and some supplier issues.
Off-shift assignments are a possibility.

What you'll do...
Coordinate containment of quality concern actions, dock holds and special checks, to eliminate any impact to customer. Prepare standard reports for Quality reviews within the plant and with other areas. Review rejected parts for quality integrity and decide next steps. Issue daily Incoming Quality report. Lead/Support 8D resolution of concerns that are supplier Quality issues. Support expedited concern resolution with cross functional teams including Machining, Production and Suppliers Review incoming quality concerns to maintain quality with assigned area; must have experience with initiating containment, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions. Liaise with Tier1 Suppliers, on their part supplier quality concerns. Raise quality concerns into Global Analystics reporting tool (GSAR) Ability to read part graphics, to check suspect parts against specifications. Raise Concern Reports for all concerns and follow up until closure with Global 8Ds (G8D) Review and analyze Supplier 8D reports. Work with suppliers to arrange shipment of defective/suspect parts back to them Co-ordinate part sorting in plant. Manage all 3rd party sorting action and send daily reports on status. Track all ageing part concerns - 30 days and more. Decision making on liability of defect. Visit and coach production departments and suppliers if needed.
