Maintains the Inventory Control System and facilitates the addition of new items to the system. Acts as a liaison between the Operating Room and Materials Service.
ResponsibilitiesMaintains the Inventory Control System.Facilitates new items being added to the system.Acts as a liaison between the Operating Room and Materials Service.Keeps the Materials Manager informed and handles routine problems, complaints, and questions.Picks goods from indicated locations and delivers them to designated areas.Places goods accurately in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying parts and stored locations.Receives deliveries as they arrive at the facility loading dock.Breaks down packages and stages goods in designated areas for put-away and internal distribution.Disposes of packing materials, boxes, etc. in designated areas.Essential SkillsInventory managementHealthcare experienceSupervisory skills3 – 5 years experience with inventory and supply chain in a hospital or related medical services settingKnowledge and working experience with Medical TerminologyExperience with Excel, preferably ERGsExperience as a lead and supervising a teamInventory controlShipping and receivingMaterial handlingWarehouse inventorySupply chainProductionOperating room management systemWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
SHIFT: 9a-5:30p / Needs to be open to 11a-7p when their supervisor is out on PTO. Alternating weekends. This is a healthcare facility that provides various health services. Candidates should be comfortable and passionate about working in this type of environment versus standard warehouse types.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hyattsville, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $21.00
