Kforce has a client looking for a Lead IT Applications (POS) in Dublin, CA. This is a hybrid role that is 2-3 days onsite. Summary: We are seeking a Lead IT Applications (POS) professional to oversee and drive technical leadership for retail store systems, including POS enhancements, pin pad upgrades, and workforce management system improvements. This role will act as a central technical resource, working closely with vendors, business teams, and project managers to ensure seamless execution of IT initiatives across multiple stores. Key Responsibilities: * Serve as a hands-on technical leader for POS-related projects (scanners, pin pads, store systems) * No coding required, but must have prior development experience for technical guidance * Act as a tech consultant, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success * Manage vendor relationships, ensuring project deliverables align with business needs and timelines * Oversee 3-4 concurrent projects, including large-scale rollouts across multiple locations * Provide technical discovery and leadership for POS upgrades, system migrations, and tech refresh initiatives * Work closely with project managers to ensure successful execution of IT initiatives * Lead and manage offshore contracting resources and external vendor teams * Support mobile and hand-held device implementations as part of store systems enhancements
