As a dynamic IT leader of Database Management in Honeywell, you\nwill have opportunity to manage the large footprint of various database technologies\nincluding Oracle/SQL Server / MySQL / Mongo DB / PostgreSQL technologies,\nModern Enterprise Data Warehouse platforms like Snowflake and make a\ndifference by establishing a solid foundation for innovation, performance,\nreliability, and scalability working on on-prem and public cloud solutions leveraging\nmultiple database technologies. Additionally, you will focus on Database\nEngineering and lead the solutioning and architecture.
You\nwill lead the Merger, Acquisition, Divestiture & Spin-Offs related to\nDatabase Technologies. In Addition, database development, architecture, operations\nand database administration teams that are responsible for setting the database\nstrategy and delivering a scalable and reliable data platform that supports\nHoneywell’s Digital Platform and Applications. Additionally, you will also\nprovide leadership for the design and implementation of databases in global\nhigh availability and high-performance environments. You will own the database\nmodels across all Non ERP applications, design new solutions at the cutting\nedge of distributed database technology and will deliver large scale systems\nthat will have an impact on revenue growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Database Deliverables for all Merger, Acquisitions, Divestiture and Spin-Off related Activities end-to-endManage M&A related Technical Deliverables, Cost Plans, Schedules and Dependencies and educate cross-functional teams about those on timely mannerHands-On expertise in MS SQL Server, OpenSource Database Technologies Hands-On expertise in Snowflake Platform AdministrationDeep knowledge and expertise on Azure Cloud Platform including Subscription ManagementLead adoption of strategic platforms for Database for Non-ERP environments- On-Premise and Cloud InfrastructureWell-versed with Database related managed services in public cloud (Azure preferred)Extensive Knowledge on Database Replication Technologies and Tools Collaborate on Database Automation activities to improve process efficiency and risk complianceDrive Stability initiatives by proactively reviewing and addressing Database performance and capacity trendsLead & mentor Database administrators, Architects to deliver Solutions to Business clients based on their requirements and work closely with offshore leadership team on daily basis. Stay focused, aggressive, very active, lead by example and take DBA team to next level Implement High Availability database solutions in MSSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB, PostgreSQL & Snowflake Platform. Deep understanding on Snowflake Platform on features like Time-Travel, Data Shares, Integrations, Warehouse Optimizations, FinOps functions, Resource Monitors etcExpertise on Database Related Security Standards deployment including Vulnerability Management & Patchset Deployment.Lead and manage high severity database issues impacting revenue applications working cross functionally across leads of infrastructure, network, and application teams Ensure centralized 24x7 Database Monitoring and Auditing Tools in place and effective in operationCreate fully reliable CMDB inventory connecting information of database along with all associated assets Review consistently on the usage of database inventory on-going basis and work on consolidation, migration and deletion of assets associated and ensure savings to IT spendEffective governance of third-party vendor both onshore and offshoreEngage completely into full lifecycle of Database environment (Plan, Build, Run)Provide guidance to Operational Database Support teams to troubleshoot and investigate Business impacting performance issues on need basis.Apply & execute technical expertise to strategize for current/future technological developments and serve as point of contact for technical questionsCreate and maintain processes and documentation for various database activities including architecture, user access, user termination, DB creation, DB migration, DB security, Service Now knowledge etc., Contribute to formulation of strategies for infrastructure technologies functional areas across various business sectorsEnsure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, evaluate controls to help mitigate negative outcomes through prevention, detection and correctionPersuades and influences others through communication skills; may negotiate with external partiesAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Honeywell, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing.
