Experience must include: + Software QA/QC methodologies, process, and technologies with respect to manual, automation, integration, and performance/stress testing areas. + Test Management process and tools, such as Azure DevOps or MS Test Manager, and knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner) and procedures. + Software and software system security concepts and appropriate testing techniques. + Software development and testing for large-scale applications using multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, SQL, 3GL, 4GL, object-oriented languages) and database management toolsets (e.g., Postgres, Toad, or similar technologies). + Experience testing with accessibility WCAG 2.0 or higher, along with a variety of testing tools such as JAWS. + Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties. + Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving. A master’s degree in Information Technology or an IT related field substitutes for three (3) years of experience, OR an IT related bachelor’s degree substitutes for two (2) years, OR an IT related associate’s degree substitutes for one (1) year. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with API testing tools, such as: Postman, curl, thunder client, or jmeter. + Advanced experience with the creation of test plans, research and analysis to design/build a test suite for the program + Comprehensive knowledge of open-source testing tools, where such tools are available, is preferred. + Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance testing methodology relative to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) + Expert Defect Identification skills-- capable of identifying defects from the test cases run and other means not specifically documented + Proven ability to learn and utilize multiple systems and complex software + Proven ability to understand inter-relationships of data and programs + Proven ability to learn data queries, which may include Data Warehouse/ BI Query, and utilize information obtained + Proven ability to use common MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, etc. **Additional Requirements** It is the policy of Minnesota IT Services that a successful candidate must pass all legally required checks prior to employment which may consist of the following: + SEMA4 Records Check (applies to current and past state employees only) + Criminal History Check + Reference Check + Social Security and Address Verification + Education Verification + Other legally required checks **Minnesota IT Services does not participate in E-Verify.
