Translating and interpreting functional requirements, testing, installing, implementing, documenting, configuring and maintaining Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software. And/or SAP applications including Enterprise Resource Planning Central Component, Extended Warehouse Management and ancillary components. Applying IT security principles and methods; IT security products and services to evaluate, recommend the acquisition of, implement and disseminate IT security tools, procedures and practices to protect information assets. Performing in-depth application knowledge analysis to optimize system performance. Evaluating requirements, analyzing interrelationships, developing effective application solution approaches, testing new and revised systems, SAP applications, and process. Developing procedural instruction in the implementation and operation of the system. Working with counterparts in other Info. Operations organizations to research and resolve complex problems and ensures processes and configurations are documented in accordance with IT configuration management policies. Independently planning and organizing the work in the form of studies or projects, estimating costs, coordinating with line and staff management personnel and conducting all phases until completion. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for Lead IT Specialist (APPSW), your resume and supporting documentation must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Expert knowledge of certificate authentication techniques, enterprise directory services, SAP Application Suite & Ancillary Component architecture and design. Expert knowledge of web services architecture, SAP Application Suite administration and design. Expert knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Server operating systems and SAP application site & ancillary components. Familiarity with concepts of SAP Application Suite & Ancillary component database design, software testing and evaluation principles, standards, processes, methods, practices and tools. Knowledge of project management theories, principles, and practices combined with a thorough understanding of the analytical, evaluative, and administrative methods and techniques required for managing information systems programs. In-depth knowledge of Cybersecurity policies and STIG guidelines. Ability to research and remediate Cybersecurity vulnerabilities by coordinating with external agencies.
