The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Engineer to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Raleigh, NC or Atlanta

Responsibilities:

Build reusable components and libraries for handling APIs for web application Work closely with UX, Design and Product to understand and build web application from scratch Deliver functional and testable code with thorough unit testing to satisfy effective DevOps pipeline Contribute to and enforce coding standards and also involve in code review through GIT flow process. Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Required Skill:

12-15 years of experience as a senior or lead hands on development Have proficient understanding of java, spring boot, developing REST API and consuming them. Have worked on web application development. Have thorough knowledge on Unit testing. Have implemented Swagger UI in REST Services for interactive testing.
