At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small multi-functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Full Stack Engineer/AWS (Hybrid) to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build innovative, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the “team”, drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions.

Location: Plano, TX.

Roles & Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of scalable microservices architecture to support business needs. Oversee the deployment and management of applications on the AWS platform to ensure optimal performance. Strong technical knowledge on Java Spring Boot Microservices AWS. Implement and manage API Gateways to ensure secure and efficient communication between services. Set up and maintain container environments to support development and production workloads. Apply AWS DevOps tools to automate and streamline development processes. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and standard processes. Develop and maintain user documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance. Fix and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability. Mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation. Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all technical implementations. Required qualifications Possess a strong background in designing and implementing microservices architecture. Demonstrate expertise in deploying and managing applications on the AWS platform. Have extensive experience with Docker for containerization. Show proficiency in setting up and managing API Gateways. Be skilled in configuring and maintaining container environments. Exhibit strong knowledge of AWS DevOps tools and practices. Experience in the Electronic Payments domain is a plus. Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Have strong communication and collaboration skills. Be capable of mentoring and guiding junior team members. Demonstrate the ability to stay ahead of with industry trends and technologies. Ensure consistency to security standards and best practices. Be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model. Certifications Required

AWS Certified Solutions Architect
